Pop followed in Mira's grandmothers' footsteps to join the most amazing father-daughter duo for the weekend. Mama even emerged from her PICU-induced strep throat coma for some of the fun.Weekend entertainment included such activities of sidewalk chalking, neighborhood dog hunting, and the making of "bay? bay?" (not to be confused with "be-bi? be-bi?"), but rather the making of bracelets out of play-doh for our little angel.
We all benefitted from our time together by gaining something we did not have before the weekend came. Mira loved her quality time with Pop, Mama nursed her ailing body, Daddy relinquished his role as a single parent, and Pop purchased an emergent pair of backup eye glasses.
