We woke up to a cloudy Sunday morning, so we decided to visit the Aquarium Pyramid at Moody Gardens. First, we had to stop off at the colorful playground you pass on your way in (and we had arrived 30 minutes before the building opened). Mira allowed her parents to temporarily stop and see penguins, fresh and salt water fish, touch sea stars, and a shark tank before making it to the real exhibits - the stamps beside each attraction! Mira was then very excited to make it to the next exhibit if it meant finding another sea creature to stamp on her ticket. Oh, to see life through the eyes of a two year old.
By far, the most exciting part of our trip were our daily excursions to the beach. Our beautiful Mira had a blast running after bubbles (with shoes on, of course) and digging in the sand. Her initial hesitation to let her feet touch the sand was quickly extinguished when she realized she could then jump up, into, through the waves. Our little fish was back in her natural habitat.
