Mira began her birthday over breakfast with Mommy and Baby (see later in post). We even heard Gram and Pop sing "Happy Birthday to You" over the telephone.
Mira knew it was her special day.
We celebrated Mira's birthday as a family earlier in the week (around Mommy's schedule in the emergency room). Before going to her birthday dinner, Mira was invited to unwrap a few packages.
The first box quickly lost it's wrapping and was greeted with high pitched squeals of "baby! baby! baby!" Mira could hardly contain herself as Daddy helped to get Baby out of her box.
Hey, this baby looks like me.
Thank you, Gigi for my very own baby stroller!
I knew just what to do with it. Baby fits perfectly.
We wasted no time at all to introduce Baby to the neighborhood. A-dog-hunting, we go!
All week long, we kept finding birthday presents to open. In addition to the baby stroller in the background, Meow Kitty and a beautiful purple smock are now often found in our living room.
We love playing with Meow Kitty and our smock. Thank you, Aunt Caro, Uncle Keith, and EJ! Thank you, Uncle Mitch and Aunt Mandy! You'll make a kitty lover out of me, yet.
When Nana and Zayde visited, we found a box that had a Learn to Dress Elmo. Being a two year old can be so much fun - she gets to pull up his jacket zipper, tie a shoe, use the velcro strap, open a button...etc. Mommy and Daddy are just grateful that this mElmo toy comes with an "off" button for the sound.
The entire Kaye family is under the impression that Mira loves mElmo. Uncle Jon and Aunt Debbie, Uncle Mitch and Aunt Mandy, AND Aunt Alyssa, each chose the same two year old mElmo card to send to Mira. Here is Mira's new personal mElmo posing with her collection.
