Twenty-three month Mira is full of new abilities, as captured in our pictures for this month. She builds towers that are so tall, the pictures just barely capture the entire building.

She is better at accessorizing than her mother ever was, and she loves to sport her bracelets, collected from around the world (well, Jamaica and Disney World). She asks to brush both her hair and mine, saying "pretty!" as she does runs her fingers through.
Our queen of looks has expanded her repertoire of expressions to make scary faces with Daddy and says "cheese" for the camera.

Her games of peak-a-boo have evolved from peaking out from behind her covered eyes to sitting in a "hidden" place, waiting to be found. Momma and Daddy do cheat sometimes when they're looking for her. It's just so hard for us to keep our animal sounds straight; sometimes we confuse which animal says which noise, and a voice from "no-where" will clarify things for us. And we had "no" idea she was in the room! So fun.

Perhaps the most important development this month has the appearance of ... Mira's first freckles! Given her parents' appearance, we didn't expect to be so surprised. This may be one of those things that you think is pretty amazing for your first child, and gets less exciting with time, but who can deny the accomplishment of such an important milestone.

Our beautiful Mira is a happy, vibrant part of our family.
