Mira is a potty-using, pacifier-less, world-traveling little twenty month old. Just as we think we're learning how to parent a toddler, she goes and teaches us that she's ready to cross these milestones all by herself. Giving up the pacifier was easier on all of us than expected. Mira is such a big girl, after all. Becoming a potty user is a little harder on us. Announcements of "poo-poo! poo-poo!" come at such inopportune times, and yet the little angel is almost always making an appropriate declaration.
Mira is still an avid reader. She usually falls asleep cuddling a book or two. We often hear her reading to herself after we've wished her goodnight.

messy-child-while-father-rolls-his-eyes-picture.For other sources of entertainment, Mira has her puzzles, football (Dallas Cowboys colors, of course), and dancing (this girl can twirl like none other!). And then there are the bottom-less boxes of toys from long ago that we are now aware. Here's to hoping that next month's post announces Mira understands the concept of needing to put one toy back before you start playing with another...

Mira's speech continues to grow on a daily basis. We can no longer keep a count of how many words she has, and she knows how to put two words together in a sentence. Mommy and Daddy don't always understand what our little girl is saying, but they can be taught. Just keep working with us, Mira!
