Nineteen-month-old Mira is a sweet, fun, smiling ball of toddler-ness. She understands the concept that people tend to communicate using these things called words, yet she lacks the eloquence to describe her needs and wants. Hence, her words most often consist of "ehhhh! ehhhh! ehhhh!" With some encouragement, she will sign for help and indicate the reason for her screaching. Her spoken vocabulary grows by the day, often accompanied by signs I never knew she knew in the first place.

On some days she wakes up and suddenly begins doing things she's never been able to do before. Other times, you can see her working towards a certain goal over a period of time.

The only problem is that her parents have also begun working towards certain goals, mainly in regards to her diet; some of these goals are being met with more resistance than others, as the pictures indicate.

Here Mira and Mommy set foot out the door to attend Friday Night Ruach, only to be distracted by some bubbles and sticks.

What a coincidence that Mommy happened to have camera in hand. (Note barrett in Mira's hair - she kept it in place all night long!)
And here's another story told in pictures for you to enjoy.

First she tries going down the big slide
with Mommy.

You will note the young maiden climbing the stairs alone (under parental supervision not otherwise occupied with the camera).

Then she attempts the smaller slide with a little of Mommy's
help.

Her pants may blend in with the mulch, but you can definitely see the purpose in her stride.

And then suddenly, she appears at the top of the slide
all by herself, ready to conquer!
Happy thought to conclude the post - Mira pointed to our picture on the wall the other night and exclaimed "momma-daddy!" How's that for her first two words to be put together?
