In her eleventh month, she has discovered a new mobility, from cruising the furniture to crawling the floors. She can push herself into a sitting position from laying prone. She can ease herself to sitting from standing and holding on. Today she even figured out how to crawl up the two small stairs from the living room to the dining room. We're excited to watch her develop, but we're also adjusting to what this new-found mobility entails (i.e., the need to be vigilent, responsible parents).

We all witnessed a rarely successful first trial with yesterday's offer of a chocolate cookie, some of us enjoying the experience more than others; Sandi took pride in the possibility of this budding chocoholic (as opposed to following in the ways of Aunt Debbie and Uncle Jon - that would just be wrong), Dan cringed but did nothing to stop the dripping chocolate mess from spreading everywhere, and Mira, well, conclude what you'd like from the pictures. And she's certainly a pro at drinking from a sippy cup!
