Mira Roberta: 8 Months and Ever Changing

Eight month old Mira may seem like her 7 month old self, but she is now much more refined. She has a growing array of gestures and sounds. We may not always understand exactly what she's saying, but she makes it clear that she knows what she wants and would get it if her parents would only cooperate. She mainly babbles and sings to herself, but she looks to share her smiles with everyone.

One of her trademark gestures is to throw her hands up behind her ears, maybe to play with her red hair.
While Mira continues to show little interest in crawling, she did take her first (assisted) steps at services on Friday night. These may be small steps in the eyes of some, but they're a giant leap in the eyes of her mother! Perhaps she intends to (literally) follow in Dan's footsteps and learn to walk instead of crawling.
